Paddock Wood Open Day 2012

Another Successful Event from the Paddock Wood Masonic Centre

For the third consecutive year Paddock Wood Masonic Centre opened its doors to the public on Saturday 8th September 2012 in conjunction with Tunbridge Wells Heritage Days 2012.

The event was officially opened at 10 am by the Assistant Provincial Grand Master Roger Waltham, remaining open until 4 pm.

As with previous open days there was the usual display of material depicting the origins of Freemasonry, the history of Freemasonry in Kent and the work of the Grand Charity and East Kent Provincial Charity. The public were also given guided tours of the Lodge rooms and explanations on the significance of the various artefacts and memorabilia on display.

Also in attendance were representatives of Teddies for Loving Care (TLC) ready to talk about the charity, accompanied by the usual army of teddy bears as well as the Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air ambulance Trust (KSSAAT) Charities.

Tea, coffee and canapés were provided from a round table laid out as at a function.
