Silver Medal for Bernard Arlington

The Medway Kidney Support Group (which is affiliated to the Kent Kidney Patient Association) fielded a small team of twelve at the Westfield Health British Transplant Games held in Medway this summer. The chairman of the group, Bernard Arlington, who lives in Sittingbourne, is shown wearing the silver medal which he was awarded on the first day of the archery competition, having missed a gold medal by only five points. See the newspaper article which appeared in the Sittingbourne News Extra on 3rd October 2012. See Newspaper Article.

Bernard is a PPrGChStwd and Past master of the General Gordon Lodge No. 4292 which meets at Manor Road, Chatham.

The Province is very proud to have been sponsors of the Games and particularly of the Kent Team, as part of their support for the local community. They also had their road-show trailer in attendance.
