A Fitting Memorial

Wor Bro Ray Price

Having previously served as the Master of Tankerton Lodge No 5153 in 1994 Ray Price agreed, with his wife Pauline’s encouragement, to serve a second term from January 2012. On the 3rd April, her birthday, he suffered the grievous loss of Pauline, affectionately known as ‘POM’, who had been suffering from cancer and pulmonary oedema

In accordance with the custom of the lodge, Ray was empowered to allocate charity money raised during his term of office. Ray and Pauline had been in the licensed trade in Whitstable where they were well known. Encouraged by Pauline, Ray had already decided that this should go to the cancer support group, McMillan Nurses, which Pauline had supported during her years in the chair of the Ladies auxiliary of the licensed trade.

At the lodge Christmas Social and Quiz, Ray was very pleased to present to Dr. Anisi, a member of the McMillan Nurses support team, a cheque for £1000.

Truly, a fitting memorial.
