Sheerness Fete Presentations

The local charities and other good causes who received Donations

Many people will recall the Sheerness Freemasons’ Fete spectacular held this summer. The Fete started from humble beginnings in 2010 with a wish to take Freemasonry into the local community but no-one could have guessed how it would grow in popularity and size.This year’s was the fourth and most successful event with over 3,000 people in attendance together with a number of engaging displays to suit everyone. Several local charities and other good causes participated in the fete in a number of different ways.

A total of £10,000 was raised and on Friday 22nd November 2013, representatives of the nominated local charities attended a presentation evening at the Masonic Hall in St George’s Avenue, Sheerness, to receive their cheques. The presentation was made by the Deputy Provincial Grand Master, VW Bro Roger Odd.


During the presentation, Roger said ’It is always so nice to be able to meet local charities in such circumstances, to recognise their achievements and, by providing a share of the proceeds, to help them secure their future and continue their excellent work’.
